Humana Healthy Horizons in Indiana is seeking a Manager, Learning Facilitation to conduct or facilitate training courses for organizational employees or external audiences. The Manager, Learning Facilitation works within specific guidelines and procedures, applies advanced technical knowledge to solve moderately complex problems, receives assignments in the form of objectives, and determines approach, resources, schedules, and goals. The Manager makes decisions related to resources, approach, and tactical operations for projects and initiatives involving own departmental area.

               

The Manager, Learning Facilitation role and responsibilities:

  • Plans, coordinates, implements, and leads staff in all aspects of training programs for participants throughout the organization, including but not limited to instructor-led and virtual instructor-led training.
  • Selects appropriate materials and provides input for the design of new materials.
  • Creates an environment that is conducive to learning and exchanging information, engages the learner, and produces the desired outcomes.
  • Monitors training personnel records to ensure that employees have met all company training requirements for company, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Analyzes course evaluations to judge effectiveness of training sessions and to implement suggestions for improvements.
  • Evaluates the relevance of online resources to complement the facilitated experience in the fields as appropriate.
  • Requires cross departmental collaboration and conducts briefings and area meetings.
  • Maintains frequent contact with other managers across the department.
  • Supports Learning Facilitators field activities by developing a Preceptor process/program that will support Care Coordinators and Service Coordinators in the field. 
  • Provides oversight of field training.

Required Qualifications

  • Willing and able to travel up to 50% within the state of Indiana to provide oversight of the learning facilitators in the field.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 2+ years of experience with training and learning modules or materials to increase performance.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience.
  • Intermediate to advance skills in MS Office Programs specifically MS Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of curriculum design and adult learning principles.
  • Technical expertise in authoring tools and multiple instructional design platforms (i.e.; SharePoint, Camtasia, Articulate, Illustrator, InDesign and Cornerstone).
  • Effective communicator, verbally and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external departments and leadership.
  • This role is a part of Humana’s Driver Safety program and therefore requires an individual to have a valid state driver’s license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with at least 100,000/300,000/100,000 limits.
  • This role is considered patient facing and is a part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.

 Work at Home Requirements

  • At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.
  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership.
  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA

Preferred Qualifications

  • Location of residence in the State of Indiana.
  • Master's Degree in Adult Education/Learning Design or MBA.
  • Strong understanding of Medicaid and a basic understanding of Medicare Advantage programs.
  • Learning facilitation experience in a healthcare industry.
  • Experience in creating online CBTs.

  • Workstyle: Combination remote work at home with travel to train and precept within market office locations and member’s home or nursing facility.
  • Travel: Up to 50% travel in the state of Indiana.
  • Core Workdays & Hours: Monday – Friday; typically, 8:00am – 5:00pm Eastern or Central Standard Time
