Job Summary

Summary<br>Responsible for performing work aimed at preventing the spread of any diseases by thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing areas, properly disposing of hazardous waste, and efficiently sterilizing equipment and apparatuses.<br><br>Does this position require Patient Care?<br>No<br><br>Essential Functions<br>-Performs cleaning duties in alignment with the organization and according to pre-established schedules and infection control guidelines <br>
-Completes waste stream removal <br>
-According to established procedures clean and service assigned areas <br>
-Move furniture, equipment, and supplies in and around the Medical Center departments, and performs a variety of cleaning duties to maintain the hospital in a neat, orderly, and sanitary condition <br>
-Operates assigned equipment, (floor machines, buffers) <br>
-Participates in a minimum of eight unit/department meetings annually <br>
-Maintain assigned patient and non-patient areas in a clean, safe and sanitary condition at all times <br>

 

Qualifications

Education Some High School Completed required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Experience related experience 0-1 year preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and how to apply chemicals safely. - Working knowledge of various cleaning tools like vacuum cleaners and floor buffers.
