Dentistry | Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and AnesthesiologyThe College of Dentistry at The Ohio State University seeks applications for a part-time Assistant Professor-Practice in the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Anesthesiology. This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic academic oral and maxillofacial surgery residency training program and contribute to the mission of the larger Division and College via pursuit of excellence in teaching, research, and service.
Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a desire to create an environment that promotes collegiality, collaboration, and diversity among members of various educational, research, and service-related communities. A willingness to serve as a role model and advocate for the ideals of professionalism and high ethical standards in a health science educational setting is essential.
Salary, academic rank, and startup package are commensurate with qualifications and experience. Sponsorship is available for international candidates that meet the required qualifications.
Performance Objectives
Major responsibilities of this position will include clinical teaching at the pre-doctoral level, supervision of pre-doctoral students and provision of direct
patient care in OMFS.
Education and Experience Requirements
Candidates must demonstrate the following required qualifications:
- DDS, DMD, or international equivalent degree
- Training certificate from a CODA accredited oral and maxillofacial surgery training program
- Eligibility for a regular (unlimited) dental license by the Ohio State Dental Board
- Board-eligibility or board-certification by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons
