Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Supplier Quality Specialist to join the Quality Team located in St Louis metropolitan area.
This position will be supporting MQ-25, an unmanned aerial refueler. and will be responsible for managing the quality planning, corrective/preventative action planning, managing supplier quality relationships and integrating with our program stakeholders to ensure they are informed with up to date information regarding the remediation/correction of supplier issues.
This position is for the future home of the MQ-25 manufacturing center in Mascoutah, IL. This facility is estimated to be completed in the future and work will be moved to this location. Until then, all training and work will be done at Boeing St. Louis, located in Berkeley, MO. The candidate selected for this role must be willing to train and work in St. Louis, and transfer to Mascoutah when the new facility is completed.
Position Responsibilities:
Leads audits and assessments of complex supplier's systems, processes and products.
Documents and reports audit and assessment results. Delegates product acceptance responsibility to suppliers.
Assesses capability and capacity of suppliers to perform current or potential future work.
Provides education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues and company initiatives.
Develops training materials and other resources to support improvements in supplier performance and productivity.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience in a quality job role
5+ years of experience performing quantitative or statistical analysis, data collection, preparation and interpretation
3+ years of experience gathering data and performing a Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)
5+ years of experience in an aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree or higher
Experience with First Article Inspections (i.e. AS9102)
Experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
Experience interfacing and presenting to senior and executive leadership
Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
Experience working closely with other engineering disciplines in an integrated team environment
Experience with regulatory requirements
Experience reviewing contracts, managing suppliers, and/or experience working with inventory
Experience with advanced product quality planning (APQP)
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.)
