Job Description
Responsible for the administration and coordination of all loan processing, loan servicing and/or default management functions as well as the corresponding operational functions. Makes business decisions and supports the implementation and administration of the policies and procedures for the assigned area/areas to ensure compliance with various regulator, investor, government and corporate expectations and requirements.Manages and collaborates with support department employees, supervisors and managers on matters regarding departmental process and procedures to improve efficiency and enhance delivery of service to internal partners, customers, regulators, investors and other constituents. Plans, develops, implements and executes business plans for assigned area(s) of responsibility.Basic Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically, five to six years of business-related experience and one to two years of managerial experience
- Thorough understanding of all aspects of mortgage lending, servicing or operational policies and practices
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Good organizational and project management skills
- Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Well-developed knowledge of human resources functions
- Effective supervisory and management skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Lead and manage a team of specialists handling contested mortgage cases.
- Oversee the investigation and resolution of property issues such as municipal violations, demolition notices, and eminent domain actions.
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, and property preservation teams to ensure regulatory adherence.
- Develop and implement workflows, escalation protocols, and performance metrics.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated or high-profile cases.
- Monitor trends and emerging risks in contested property issues and recommend process improvements.
- Train and mentor team members to ensure consistent application of policies and procedures
