Hatch is seeking a Project Information Coordinator (PICs) in Houston, TX. The Project Information Coordinator will be responsible for managing and coordinating the information production and delivery processes for the engagement’s entire lifecycle. Serving all functions and disciplines, PICs ensure the information production and delivery processes/workflows are coordinated between across all functions and disciplines. Working with Project Information Managers and coordinating the efforts of Disciple Leads

they maintain overall responsibility for the production of information containers, adherence to information management standards, quality processes and information model exchanges.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Information Delivery Planning

 

• Assist in the development and implementation of post-award Information Management Plans (IMPs) and BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), procedures and workflows to support information production and delivery processes to satisfy the engagement’s information requirements.
• Ensure compliance with information standards and information management quality processes including:
  • Model Management Standards (i.e., clash detection & issue resolution)
  • CAD Management Standards (i.e., title blocks)
  • Data Management Standards (i.e., data validation)

• Establish and maintain the Information Container Breakdown Structure, including all individual Information Container Registers (Drawing Register, Model Breakdown.

• Structure, Document List, Data Lists). Ensure information model federation is tested and maintained according to the IMP.
• Contribute to the information management risk management strategy and identify & address risks to the engagement’s outcomes resulting from information management processes, digital delivery systems, data or IT infrastructure.
• Implement and support training plans to ensure all disciplines are sufficiently trained in the engagement specific processes and procedures.

 

Information Production & Delivery

 

• Be responsible for data flows and work processes to enable data-centric delivery, managing consistency and quality across deliverables including data, documents, models, drawings and packages.
• Actively promote the facilitation of visual design coordination to ensure design intent across all disciplines through the use of design coordination, review and approval workshops using the federated design model. Schedule and facilitate inter-disciplinary and information model reviews.
• Coach functional and discipline teams to leverage design coordination and clash detection tools within their own discipline to proactively design outcomes in a smart and timely manner.
• Be responsible for ensuring that there is a consistent approach to modelling of graphical (3D) data and inclusion of non-graphical data across, including consistent and appropriate technologies are in use.
• Ensure BIM processes/workflows are communicated and followed across the project for the federation and quality assurance of design models (model graphical and data checking and verification, clash mitigation and control) and verification of general information needed for reports, model production and delivery.
