Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Account Manager to join our Coatings Team. This a remote position, located within North America and will report to Ashland’s
Coatings Sales Director for North America.

**This role is open to anyone living and eligible to work in the US (without restriction) and is within an hour of a major airport**

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Growing Ashland’s Architectural and Industrial Coatings Business in North America in a sustainable & profitable manner.
• Leading all sales activities at specified accounts.
• Developing, leading & coordinating strategic account plans if an assigned account is a Key global customer.
• Working with North America’s Marketing and Innovation Leader(s) to grow Ashland’s new products & technologies.
• Delivering the region’s NPI (new product introduction) sales targets.
• Providing input into Ashland’s innovation process to identify new product & market opportunities.
• Expected travel up to 40%.

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

• BS degree in a technical field, chemistry or chemical engineering is preferred
• Minimum of 2 years Selling, Technical Marketing, or other related experience in Coatings with a preference for experience in Industrial Coatings
• Experience partnering with R&D teams on new product development
• Demonstrated technical aptitude and the ability to communicate effectively.

The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:

• Minimal 5 years of laboratory experience in architectural or industrial coatings
• Existing relationships with Key Architectural and Industrial Coatings customers in the region.
• Technical and/ or selling experience in Direct-to-Metal, Industrial Wood Coatings and/ or other Industrial Coatings applications.
