About the Role

This role provides electrical and mechanical support for the assigned buildings. This role has wide ranging responsibilities, including low/medium voltage power, HVAC system and controls, mechanical system troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, emergency response, general maintenance, carpentry, plumbing system, and vendor management. Primary responsibilities will include electrical/mechanical support for power systems, lighting systems and controls, and other facility subsystems and support tools.

This position requires a valid state driver's license and may require the employee to be on-call for after-hours emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting improperly working building equipment
• Operating all building systems and infrastructure within the facilities. Systems include fire/life safety, mechanical (HVAC, plumbing, controls,) lighting, and temperature control systems, light construction (painting, doors, locks).
• Maintaining/replacing lighting system bulbs and ballasts.
• Assisting operations team in maintenance and repair of building and equipment.
• Performing minor plumbing repairs.
• Moving office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials, as requested
• Reviewing and recommending changes to preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance procedures. Identifying safety hazards within the building.
• Completing all safety and related training per month and alerting management to building discrepancies.
• Maintaining licenses and certifications.
• Ensuring that maintenance projects performed at the building are properly planned, executed, and closed out following standard industry practices.
• Working with onsite teams/vendors to manage planned outages mitigating risk to both production, printers ,and network equipment.
• Overseeing the activities of contractors working within the building, either as representatives of the building itself or tenants operating within the building.
• Keeping records of building rounds and readings, all engineering logs, and engineering data sheets.
• Performing additional job duties as requested.
• Walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, stooping, and working/extending overhead, including:
  Lifting a minimum of 80 lbs.
  Using ladders up to 30 ft and working from heights.Climbing a ladder with a 300-lb weight limit while carrying a tool bag weighing approximately 20 lbs.

Requirements

• 3+ years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance.
• Possess basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical experience
• Possess an understanding of critical emergency systems such as backup UPS power and emergency generators
• Able to create change tickets and manage from beginning to end
