We are now hiring for a Full-Time Maintenance Technician for our rapidly expanding Electrical Supplies business. This position will be located at our Kirkwood, NY branch.  

Schedule: Monday - Friday from 7:00AM – 4:30PM with a 30-minute lunch break

As a hands-on Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the Green Mountain Electric Supply (GMES) Cable Solutions team, and responsible for all Wire Hub equipment preventative maintenance, repairs, and support of improvement opportunities to enable the safe and effective operation of Wire Hub equipment. As needed, candidate will support peak demand customer orders as an experienced wire and cable operator capable of operating all Wire Hub production lines at the highest level of safety, quality, and delivery proficiency, and apply that knowledge to inform the best approaches to achieving near-100% uptime and availability of equipment. TBD long term, this position may or may not include some support for minor facility repairs as needed. Requirements

• Expert Operator & Trainer of wire and cable respool, paralleling, and bundling processes and equipment
• Hands on troubleshooting, repair, replacement, and upgrades of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrics, and mechanical components as needed to maintain 100% uptime and availability of equipment 
• Establishes daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance schedule and documents completion*
• Maintains replacement parts list and parts on hand for frequently replaced items*
• Identify improvement opportunities and review with leadership team for consideration and prioritization*
• * Above three items will be reviewed with Dustin and Tony within first 30 days, at 90 days, and as needed
• Collaborates and contributes to team effort and results
• Possesses analytical and critical thinking skills
• Organized, planful, action oriented, and adaptable with Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) mindset
• Able to work independently and within a team

• Documents equipment references and standard work
