Business Financial Analyst

Overview

Business Financial Analyst (VOPS-2026-25667):

 

Bowhead seeks a Business Financial Analyst to provide routine and complex program or financial management support/analyses, including; needs assessments and cost/benefits analyses in an effort to align program/financial needs with business initiatives. 

 

This position does not allow for telecommuting and all work will be performed 100% on-site in Dahlgren, VA.

 

Responsibilities

Essential functions will include: 

• Working with Program Evaluation Review Technique (PERT) charts

• Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)

• Program Life Cycle Cost Estimates (PLCCEs)

• Cost Studies (Economic Analyses (EAs), Business Case Analyses (BCAs), Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Trade Studies, Cost Realism Analyses and Special Studies)

• Integrated Warfare Systems (IWS) Program Office Cost Support (Program Objective Memorandum (POM) estimates, Selected Acquisition Report (SAR) submissions/inputs, Defense Acquisition Executive Summary (DAES) submissions, budget

• Program Risk Analysis and Mitigation

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Business or Science preferred, HS Diploma or GED equivalent required
• 0-2 years of finance experince
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

 

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level.  US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
