Lead Steward – Tropicana Laughlin
As the Lead Steward at Tropicana Laughlin, you're the behind-the-scenes hero who keeps the kitchen humming and the team sharp. You’ll take charge of training new Stewards in the art of handling kitchen equipment like a pro, ensuring food and supplies flow smoothly to workstations, and keeping everything spotless—from prep lines to trash bins. You’re the go-to person for maintaining high standards and supporting the culinary crew with precision and pride.
Key Responsibilities
- Train Like a Pro: Teach Stewards how to scrape, rinse, rack, and wash all dishware to meet top-tier cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Sink Mastery: Demonstrate proper setup and use of the three-compartment sink—wash, rinse, sanitize—and ensure pots and pans are air-dried to perfection.
- Clean & Organized: Keep workstations sanitized and storage areas neat and orderly.
- Food Flow Facilitator: Transport food and supplies to prep stations and serving lines with efficiency and care.
- Kitchen Support: Assist chefs and cooks with food prep and service when needed.
- Cost-Conscious: Follow cost control procedures to help keep operations lean and effective.
- Trash Duty: Empty and transport trash from workstations to disposal areas, following all safety protocols.
- Team Player: Collaborate with fellow employees, vendors, and guests to create a smooth and friendly work environment.
- Guest Relations: Promote positive vibes using the Caesars Family Style Service model.
- Flexible Support: Take on additional tasks as assigned by the Executive Chef or Outlet Supervisor.
Qualifications
- A minimum of six months of related experience or training—or an equivalent mix of both.
- Must present a clean, courteous image and be comfortable working with the public.
- Knowledge of company policies, fire safety, and sanitation procedures is essential.
Certifications & Language
- Must be able to obtain all required state, local, and county licenses—including a valid health permit.
- Strong English communication skills are a must for interacting with guests and team members.
