Nursing Director - Education and Training (526399)

The Role:

• Lead nursing and midwifery education and training strategy across Hospitals North
• Develop, implement, and evaluate programs for orientation, clinical skills, and professional development
• Drive workforce capability and succession planning through targeted learning initiatives
• Ensure compliance with accreditation, regulatory, and quality standards
• Embed evidence-based practice and clinical governance in all education activities
• Collaborate with universities, professional bodies, and internal stakeholders
• Manage education resources, budgets, and staff effectively

You will need:

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, plus postgraduate qualifications in nursing, education, or health leadership.
• Demonstrated leadership in nursing education, workforce development, and compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.
• Strong strategic, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience in curriculum design, digital learning, and resource management.

Details of appointment:

Permanent full time, day worker (with on-call) position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join our team.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $144,146 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

• Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

• Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type
