Senior Commercial Banking Underwriter

We are in search of a seasoned Senior Commercial Underwriter to support our commercial lending team. This role involves underwriting complex commercial real estate loans, C&I loans, private equity finance, providing guidance on loan structuring, and analyzing new and renewal credits with a high level of expertise. Position may be filled as Commercial Underwriter or Senior Commercial Underwriter DOE.

Responsibilities:

• Underwrite commercial real estate and C&I loan across various markets, including primary asset types, various industries and specialized classes
• Prepare loan presentations.
• Provide advanced analysis and guidance for loan structuring, servicing, and credit analysis.
• Participate in client calls, assist in identifying cross-sales opportunities, and communicate risks to aid department risk mitigation strategies.
• Assist in the loan closing process and working with legal.
• Contribute to the commercial lending team culture, aligning with the company's mission, vision and values

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of experience in Commercial Lending or Credit Analysis.
• At least 3 years of experience working with Commercial Real Estate clients.
• Proficiency in financial statement spreading, financial modeling, preparation of projections, and guarantor analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience with credit exposure of $5 million and above is preferred.
