About the Role:
Slim Chickens is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Intern to join our Accounting team. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to support the standardization of financial reporting across all locations while gaining real-world experience in a fast-paced, restaurant brand environment. Ideal candidates are current juniors or seniors pursuing a degree in Accounting who are eager to grow their analytical and technical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update an Excel-based financial statement standardization workbook
• Review and normalize financial statements in alignment with Slim Chickens’ brand standards
• Audit and analyze financial data to identify significant variances between external reports and internal systems
• Assist with accounting-related projects and data analysis as assigned
• Uphold company-wide standards related to quality, safety, security, and operating procedures
• Present findings clearly and professionally to team members or management when needed

• This position is office-based with no travel required

Qualifications:

• Junior or Senior standing in a Bachelor’s degree program in Accounting
• Completion of core accounting coursework preferred
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
