About the role

Description

The Price Lab is pleased to announce Mellon Summer Research Fellowships for undergraduates in the School of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania. The fellowships have been designed to allow students to take advantage of the relatively less-hectic summer months to pursue work in the digital humanities alongside a faculty supervisor. Students may use their fellowship to work on a faculty-led digital project or an independent project provided that a faculty member closely supervise their work.

We will select up to 3 fellows who will receive a stipend of $4,500 payable in three installments of $1,500: one at the beginning of the summer, one in the middle, pending satisfactory completion of a brief evaluation of their progress, and one at the end of summer upon submission of a final report.

Qualifications

Undergraduates in the School of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania are welcome to apply.

Application Instructions

Interested students will need to upload the following to Interfolio:

  • A 1000 word proposal that describes the faculty-led project and the work you plan on completing over the summer.
  • An unofficial copy of your transcript.
  • A letter of support from the faculty member with whom you will be working.
