Then join our team in Center of Excellence Panes focusing on our pane/glass production facilities where you will take on the role as Senior Project Manager steering large, complex technology implementation projects as part of our transitioning from producing insulated glass units to vacuum insulated glass.
Your challenges
You will join a team of 9 skilled Project Managers and Specialists supporting our pane/glass production facilities. Here, you will step into a key role as Senior Project Manager where you will collaborate closely with our colleagues in Advanced Material Technology, Product Development and the Supply organization to understand and specify manufacturing equipment requirements to ensure that we implement manufacturing technology that fits the new concept and future production setup.
Additionally, you will engage with technology suppliers, specify and discuss the technical requirements, uncover technology opportunities, and select appropriate solutions, and you will uncover and drive the actions needed for timely equipment and manufacturing process implementation at our panes factories across Europe. You are practically the link between development and the factories, and your key job is to use your understanding of production, flow, mass production, automation, and digitization combined with your solid project management skills to ensure a smooth, high quality and on-time implementation of new, updated equipment and production lines to fit and accommodate the new concept.
Spending a great deal of your time on the floor alongside your colleagues in production, you devote your time to:
Getting an understanding of the production flow
Take charge of the Technical requirement specification (TRS) and support the plants in getting the right equipment
Scope and decide on solution and delivery in close collaboration with suppliers and with assistance from our procurement organization and ensure compliance with TRS on delivery
Ongoing project management - performing daily leadership and communication in and around the project to ensure timely project delivery
Scope and plan activities, and facilitate meetings and workshops securing that the targets are met
Guide a diverse team of specialists from own team, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders from Development, Supply, Production/factories, and external suppliers
Since you will be working on projects at our factories in Europe, a certain amount of travelling should be expected – approx. 20-50 days per year.
The role is based at our factory in Brædstrup in Denmark, but for the right profile, we are open to consider a hybrid work setup with remote work 1-2 days per week.
Your qualifications
You have an educational background within a relevant technical area, and we expect that you bring several years of experience delivering large and highly complex technology implementation projects in a production environment. You have experience in technical requirement specification and a well-developed understanding of production flow, automation and digital solutions.
Additionally, you are able to:
Create visibility of activities and risks while motivating the project team to follow plans and respect deliverables and milestones
Prepare for each facet of the project, from timelines and financials to team coordination and risk mitigation, ensuring to adapt the plan if circumstances change and escalate critical issues
Ensure execution of the project plan using relevant project management tools
Ensure buy-in from key stakeholders – and alignment of expectations
