We’re looking for someone like you to help propel business analytics and processes forward, as well as delve into technology trends to deliver user-friendly client experiences.

As an IT business analyst, you’ll work to develop leading-edge products and solutions for our federal clients. Working with your team of architects, scrum masters, developers, testers, and DevSecOps engineers, and alongside data scientists, AI/ML engineers, user experience specialists, and content strategists, you’ll identify clients’ business needs, gather user requirements, and develop user stories. You’ll understand the overall direction and nuanced user needs clearly, and you’ll guide your team as they fulfill these needs by creating deployable features. Together, you’ll deliver high business value products to internal and external users and customers.

You Have:

  • 6+ years of experience working in a professional environment

  • 3+ years of experience of structured analysis and design methodologies, including wireframing

  • Experience with visual design concepts and usability heuristics, including with user research and requirements gathering methods such as focus groups, interviews, or usability tests

  • Experience with initiating, planning, scheduling, estimating, forecasting, coordinating, controlling, managing, and delivering IT projects

  • Experience with Agile processes and Scrum ceremonies, including managing and facilitating backlog refinement, sprint planning, mid-sprint reviews, sprint demos, and retrospectives

  • Experience with reviewing story analysis to determine conditions of satisfaction and the impact on other systems, projects, domains, and operational teams have been outlined

  • Experience with managing the evolution of the user story and backlog items, including breaking down the stories, eliciting conversations, and facilitating story refinement sessions

  • Knowledge of Software Development Agile Frameworks, including Scaled Agile, Scrum, and Kanban

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with project management

  • Experience with facilitating development and troubleshooting sessions with a team

  • Experience in working with teams to decentralize decision-making and acting as an escalation point when consensus decisions cannot be reached

  • Experience with requirements gathering, development of wireframes, user stories, and acceptance criteria

  • Experience with designing and executing 508 testing 

  • Experience with Jira and Confluence

  • Ability to anticipate, mitigate, and resolve risks and conflicts across workgroups

  • Ability to collaborate with product owners, business partners, developers, and architects to build and define the product backlogs and complete release planning

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Possession of excellent interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, issue resolution, and customer relationship management skills
