Supplier Quality Engineer (Murrysville, PA)
Join our team to help ensure superior supplier quality and drive continuous improvement across the product lifecycle. You’ll play a key role in evaluating new suppliers, supporting new product introductions, and partnering with R&D and supply chain teams to bring innovative, high-quality products to market.
Your role:
Lead supplier quality activities during new product introductions by executing and monitoring Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) processes.
Evaluate and qualify new suppliers, ensuring they meet the company’s technical and quality standards, and contribute to supplier selection.
Partner with R&D teams and suppliers to drive Design for Excellence (DfX) collaboration and integrate quality engineering into product design.
Define, communicate, and verify Critical to Quality (CtQ) requirements, supporting part approvals and supplier improvement initiatives.
Support continuous supplier development through problem-solving, corrective action, and ongoing quality improvements.
This role requires consistent travel which may include domestic and international – 20%
You're the right fit if:
You’ve earned a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field, or you have 4+ years of experience in Quality, Process, or Supplier Engineering.
Your skills include supplier quality methodologies, APQP, (Advanced Product Quality Planning), SPC (Statistical Process Control), PFMEA, (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) process validation, first article inspections, and quality documentation.
You bring knowledge of supplier evaluation techniques, continuous improvement tools, and data analysis and have a good understanding of statistics and a familiarity with statistical software packages. Bonus skills: DfX methodology, CAPA, and supply chain management.
You’re detail-oriented, collaborative, and effective in cross-functional environments with suppliers, R&D, and operations teams.

How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details
The pay range for this position in (PA) is $68,040 to $108,864
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips
