The First Databank (FDB) is currently seeking Senior Vice President in the Sales and Marketing Department.
FDB is seeking an experienced, Senior Vice President level leader to oversee the company’s full range of revenue growth activities including needs assessment, promotion and sales of its industry-leading solutions. This leader’s mission will be to leverage the strengths of the company’s current commercial team and market-leading position while transforming the team’s accountability and execution to drive world-class revenue growth performance.
This strategic, hands-on leader will have a demonstrated track record of developing and leading sales and marketing teams that have achieved superior revenue growth performance relative to competitors and healthcare information technology industry benchmarks. The SVP of Sales & Marketing will also play a crucial role in developing and executing the company’s growth strategy, working closely with senior leaders in the product management, clinical, technology and finance departments.
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned sales and marketing leader and team builder. S/he will have a successful track record of driving superior revenue growth performance while building a positive culture of accountability in companies that are well-regarded within the healthcare information technology or clinical content industry.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with the product management, clinical and technical functional organizations to drive development of new solutions that address key customer needs and pain points.
- Evaluate current team member capabilities and recruit, hire and train new team members as required to drive superior performance.
- Identify team members professional development needs and provide training, coaching and other programs required to
- maximize effectiveness.
- Establish an effective consultative sales process that leverages a deep understanding of customer buying behavior and utilizes advanced sales operations techniques and tools.
- Design an incentive compensation plan and refine sales territories and assignments as necessary to align team behavior with
- company business objectives.
- Review and refine channel strategy to mitigate channel conflict while maximizing performance.
- Serve as the external leader of FDB’s commercial organization including building relationships and facilitating closing business with major customers.
- Create a culture of results orientation and accountability that leads to superior revenue growth performance.
Required Skills:
- 10+ years of management experience growing sales and marketing teams in one or more rapid-growth, healthcare information technology or clinical content companies
- Proven track record of driving double-digit revenue growth over multiple years in (an) early to mid-stage company(ies)
- Deep knowledge of the healthcare information technology industry and proven ability to rapidly learn clinical and technical concepts
- Track record of successfully recruiting individual contributors and managers and building a talented, diverse, and inclusive team
- Personal style that balances drive to establish accountability and generate superior results with an ability to develop a collaborative and team-oriented culture
Required Experience:
- Thorough understanding of consultative selling methodologies and techniques and proven ability to translate into team execution
