Analog Devices Federal LLC(ADFED), a wholly owned subsidiary of Analog Devices, Inc., is searching for a Senior Process Engineer to support the manufacture of complex hybrid microelectronics for commercial, space, and military applications. ADFED is in the process of expanding its manufacturing footprint and scaling production across multiple programs. Due to this growth, the individual selected for this position will be in a unique position to add value on day 1 while working alongside a team of engineers and Technicians. The selected candidate will be empowered to plan, perform, and report on projects targeted at improving delivery, quality, yield and cost metrics of production programs. The nature of projects will require collaboration across the organization including different engineering organizations, operations, quality, supply chain, and management to ensure goals are met.
Responsibilities:
Focusing on improving processes and product quality, yield, cost, and performance in the manufacturing assembly area for microelectronic components & modules.
Unit process ownership of processes including wirebonding, die attach, manual assembly, hermetic sealing, and environmental screening.
Developing and optimizing automated manufacturing processes to support scaling to high volume production.
Standardizing manufacturing processes and procedures in computer-aided manufacturing system (MES)
Troubleshooting Process and Equipment manufacturing issues and implementing robust corrective actions
Disposition of production materials on hold and taking action to troubleshoot process and equipment issues for predicable operations.
Working with development engineering to implement new processes and support new product integration.
Collaborate with design staff to develop new processes and ensure compatibility with current processing methods.
Drive continuous improvement projects to minimize processing issues and improve productivity.
Qualify new tools for production, including documentation, training, and certification of operators/technicians.
Programming of computer-controlled equipment and vision recognition systems.
Respond to internal and external customer requests or events as they occur
Qualifications:
BS/MS in Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or related technical discipline
5 years' experience in electronics manufacturing including technologies such as manual and automated semiconductor module assembly, wirebonding, die attach, hermetic sealing, lead forming, and surface mount technologies
Understanding of MIL-STD-883, MIL-PRF-38534, and other associated standards preferred
Prior experience working in a highly controlled medical or defense manufacturing area preferred
Knowledge of automated processing equipment preferred
Good hand-eye coordination for work under a microscope is necessary
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Minitab statistical software, and AutoCAD or related modeling software.
U.S. Citizenship is required
