Our Group Home Clients Need You! We have an immediate opening in our Marion Group Home located in Marion, NC, to work with individuals with disabilities and truly make a difference in their lives.
Group Homes can be a major step for empowering independence and building a community for those we serve. Our homes provide all of the support our residents need – mental, physical and emotional. Each person has their own bedroom, with meals and activities provided in a common area. Residents share responsibilities and learn life skills including cooking and cleaning. Staff are present for residents 24/7 supporting them with their everyday needs.
**Weekends will sleep overnight at the group home**
All of our Group Homes are licensed by the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation.
Caregiver/Direct Support Staff needed for the following:
- Monday 3:00p-10:30p *sleep overnight*
- Tuesday 6:30a-9:00a & 3:00p-10:30p *sleep overnight*
- Wednesday 6:30a-9:00a & 3:00p-10:30p *sleep overnight*
- Thursday 6:30a-9:00a & 3:00p-10:30p *sleep overnight*
- Friday 6:30a-9:00a *off until 3:00p Monday*
*Must have valid driver's license & be able to drive, have valid car insurance, have high school diploma/GED*
Responsibilities/Qualifications:
- Promote client outcomes in behavioral, social, and vocational realms
- Assist client participation in leisure/recreational activities
- Maintain a schedule of services/activities in a treatment plan and report on status of health and safety objectives
- Provide respite and companionship to offer relief to family or primary caregiver
- Complete and submit documentation and payroll data according to scheduled deadlines
- Complete initial and ongoing training and staff development activities
- Ability to achieve competency in required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Ability to work independently in the community and/or the client’s home
- Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary, based on individual client needs
- Passion and experience working with individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) is preferred
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks
- Lifting may be required depending on individual client needs
- CPR/First Aid Certification Training is provided by company

**$1000 Signing Bonus Details:
- $500 paid out after working 30 days with an average of 20 hours per week
- $500 paid out after working 6 months with an average of 20 hours per week
- Applicant cannot have been employed by Abound Health or A Small Miracle, LLC in the past 18 months
- Signing bonus not applicable for Residential Services
- Employees hired as Relative as Providers (RAPs) are not eligible for the Signing Bonus
- RAPs are not eligible for the Referral Bonus
