AAA has an exciting opportunity to join the Insurance Team for a 10-week internship.  Interns should have a career aspiration and passion for technology, collaboration, and creative problem-solving. Interns will actively participate in program contributing to meaningful projects and work closely each week with the our Home and Auto Insurance Team.

About the Roadways College Internship Program:

Over the summer program, interns receive tools and resources for their growth and development that will help them prepare for the current and future workforce, including:

• Understanding how to align business strategy with key objectives and initiatives

• Using behavioral and communication tools to enhance their personal image

• Demonstrating flexibility, agility, and the ability to respond effectively to change

• Cultivating relationships to increase collaboration and build trust

What You’ll Do:

• Collaborate with Insurance team members on various projects and tasks and contributing to system enhancements that improve operational efficiency

• Develope a foundational understanding of home and auto insurance products, policies, and key industry concepts

• Participate in Agile ceremonies and gain hands‑on experience across the software development lifecycle

• Attend learning and development sessions to further enhance your technical skills

• Create and develop presentations using Microsoft Office Tools but not limited to PowerPoint 

• Participate in team building and volunteer events

• Participate in job shadowing/hands-on activities

What You’ll Need:

• Must be a Senior enrolled in a college/university with major in Computer Science or a related field

• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills

• Programming Languages skills such as C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, SQL, HTML/CSS

• Software Development Skills such as Object‑Oriented Programming (OOP), API development and integration (REST), Version control (Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps), Debugging and troubleshooting, Unit testing and code reviews

• Understanding of relational databases such as SQL

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities

• Must be a self-starter, comfortable taking initiative to learn from others, asking questions and applying learned knowledge to projects

• Good communication skills (verbal and written)

Internship Eligibility:

• Must commit to the entirety of the program, June 22nd  through August 28th

• Must commit to working full time, 40 hours per week

• Must be willing to commute to the office daily

• The pay for this position will be $27 per hour
