Join AAA’s Roadways College Internship Program!
AAA has an exciting opportunity to join the Insurance Team for a 10-week internship. Interns should have a career aspiration and passion for technology, collaboration, and creative problem-solving. Interns will actively participate in program contributing to meaningful projects and work closely each week with the our Home and Auto Insurance Team.
About the Roadways College Internship Program:
Over the summer program, interns receive tools and resources for their growth and development that will help them prepare for the current and future workforce, including:
Understanding how to align business strategy with key objectives and initiatives
Using behavioral and communication tools to enhance their personal image
Demonstrating flexibility, agility, and the ability to respond effectively to change
Cultivating relationships to increase collaboration and build trust
What You’ll Do:
Collaborate with Insurance team members on various projects and tasks and contributing to system enhancements that improve operational efficiency
Develope a foundational understanding of home and auto insurance products, policies, and key industry concepts
Participate in Agile ceremonies and gain hands‑on experience across the software development lifecycle
Attend learning and development sessions to further enhance your technical skills
Create and develop presentations using Microsoft Office Tools but not limited to PowerPoint
Participate in team building and volunteer events
Participate in job shadowing/hands-on activities
What You’ll Need:
Must be a Senior enrolled in a college/university with major in Computer Science or a related field
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills
Programming Languages skills such as C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, SQL, HTML/CSS
Software Development Skills such as Object‑Oriented Programming (OOP), API development and integration (REST), Version control (Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps), Debugging and troubleshooting, Unit testing and code reviews
Understanding of relational databases such as SQL
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
Must be a self-starter, comfortable taking initiative to learn from others, asking questions and applying learned knowledge to projects
Good communication skills (verbal and written)
Internship Eligibility:
Must commit to the entirety of the program, June 22nd through August 28th
Must commit to working full time, 40 hours per week
Must be willing to commute to the office daily
The pay for this position will be $27 per hour
