Within SaT, our Security and Defence team sits at the heart of our Lead Advisory practice and deliver high quality advice to our global network of clients.</p> <p> </p> <p>The SaT team of EY Greece is experiencing strong growth, resulting in several opportunities arising for talented and ambitious individuals looking to develop a career as advisors on Defence matters.</p> <p> </p> <p>Working in a multi-national environment, the team works on a range of projects, from local to cross border multinational disposals or acquisitions. Working in this fast paced, creative environment, you will be given the opportunity to work and take responsibilities on challenging projects, gaining exposure to various sectors, both within Greece and the CESA region. Our experts help solve complex business issues from strategy to execution, conduct research and analysis of EU policies and regulations, while at the same time scan funding opportunities and incentives to prepare application folders and write business proposals for our local, regional, and global industry and governmental clients.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>Your key responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Delivering high caliber advisory services to public and private entities on national (Greece) and International/EU security and defence matters</li> <li>Providing security and defence related expertise to other EY service lines, as well as to funding/financing matters of public and private entities</li> <li>Performing analysis of technologies to evaluate capability and fit against mission requirements </li> <li>Supporting industry and public sector institutions in the security and defence sectors in the implementation of demanding projects</li> <li>Proactively supporting business development activities (proposals, client presentations, professional events)</li> <li>Demonstrating strong team participation skills, particularly in teams with diverse skills and backgrounds</li> <li>Demonstrating a high level of professionalism and consistency in client work, business development and practice development</li> <li>Demonstrating strong work initiative and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>What we look for </p> <p>Required</p> <ul> <li>5 - 10 years of professional experience in the area of defence and security</li> <li>Experience in National/Hellenic and International/EU (especially CSDP) &amp; non-EU defence and security environment, strategies, and policies </li> <li>Knowledge of the main National/Hellenic and International/EU &amp; non-EU (i.e., US) governmental, industrial and academia/research organisations/stakeholders</li> <li>A higher education qualification/diploma from a top tier university</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal skills both in Greek and English, ideally including knowledge of contemporary defence and security-related terminology</li> <li>A track record of delivering successful business outcomes </li> <li>Results-oriented mindset, flexibility, innovativeness, and strong motivation</li> <li>Very good ability to work/cooperate in a team</li> <li>Ability to work effectively in a quickly changing multinational environment</li> <li>Ability to prioritise, organise and coordinate a wide range of tasks/activities</li> <li>Strong conceptual, compositional, analytical, planning and drafting skills</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Desirable</p> <ul> <li>A defense/security-related post-graduate degree</li> <li>Professional experience (previously assumed post(s)) in a defence and security-related organization, at: <ul> <li>National/Hellenic level (Ministry of Defense or Armed forces)</li> <li>International/EU or Non-EU level</li> </ul> </li> <li>Professional experience (previously assumed post(s)) in defence and security industry, research organisations, consultancies or think tanks</li> <li>Experience/Certification in project management methodologies and processes</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>What we offer</p> <ul> <li>Competitive remuneration package: You’ll be rewarded for your individual and team performance.
