💰 $170,000/yr($95,000/yr – $170,000/yr)
About the role
Our success is reliant on building teams that include people from different backgrounds and experiences who can elevate assumptions and ideas with fresh perspectives. We're dedicated to hiring the whole human, not just a resume. To that end, we look for a diverse pool of applicants-including those from historically marginalized groups. We would like to invite you to apply even if you don't think you meet all of the requirements listed below. We don't want a few lines in a job description to get between us and the opportunity to meet you.
About The Team
At Outreach, Business Systems’ mission is to enable and enhance corporate processes at scale. We are a centralized team providing a suite of services to other Outreachers, helping them to efficiently serve our customers and each other. We are building the team around strong critical thinkers - individuals who can navigate ambiguity and help us along our journey of discovery and transformation.
The Role
As a member of the Business Systems team, you’ll guide our cloud-first architecture, and shape the way we think about corporate systems, cross-platform integrations, and data delivery.
Day-to-day, you will work closely with cross-functional partners in Marketing, Customer Experience, Finance, Analytics, and Corporate Engineering. You’ll manage gathering requirements, identifying solutions, and assessing fit including build vs. buy decisions, and program execution. A key success factor will be your ability to deliver business process capabilities that seamlessly span systems boundaries by taking ownership to understand the business processes and needs, rather than just approaching your role from a technical perspective.
The initial focus of your role will be to help scale marketing and customer experience capabilities by identifying opportunities to centralize data and integrate it with the systems that help us reach and support our customers.
Location: We are open to remote (ideally near the PST time zone), Seattle office is hybrid.

Your Daily Adventures Will Include
- Lead complex, multi-disciplinary systems design projects
- Coordinate projects across many functional areas in order to deliver features and releases
- Translate high-level, ambiguous business goals into working software solutions
- Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities
- Lead delivery of the large, complex projects by anticipating bottlenecks, providing escalation management, making tradeoffs, and balancing the business needs versus technical constraints
Our Vision Of You
- 6+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Technical Program Manager, Software Engineer, or related role, in a cloud-first environment
- Domain expertise in data integration, marketing, customer support, success, and/or finance systems. Marketing experience of any kind (data, systems, integrations, or processes) a plus as this is our team’s newest focus area
- Experience managing cross-functional delivery spanning application boundaries; comfortable working with both systems and software engineers in build+buy scenarios
- Ability to identify priorities and evaluate risks and trade-offs to recommend optimal paths to achieving deliverables and outcomes
- Ability to engage with people at all levels and backgrounds, including business and product owners and both technical and non-technical resources
- Experience managing roadmaps and facilitating scoping and discovery discussions for large projects with stakeholders spanning the company
- Proficiency with data delivery and integration, preferably combined with a working knowledge of a modern programming language - you probably won’t be writing code, but the ability to understand what exists or is being built will be quite helpful!
- You are a problem solver and strategic thinker who is comfortable operating in ambiguity to take ownership and are excited to discover new opportunities to transform the organization, with a proven track record of leading and motivating others to move in the same direction
- You embody our core values: We are hungry craftspeople, we have grit, we are honest, we take ownership, we have each other's back no matter what, we're one with our customers, and we find strength in diversity and inclusion
