Staff Accountant

Department: Accounting

FLSA Status: Exempt

Compensation: $55k -$60k DOE (depending on experience)

Overview:

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join the ProSmile team. The Staff Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to track our assets, liabilities, profit and loss and all other financial activities. 
Responsibilities:

• Maintains general ledger.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
• Prepares and reconciles bank statements and other balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with financial statement preparation and analysis
• Perform variance analysis on budget vs. actuals
• Provides assistance to outside auditors, compiles necessary documents to perform annual audit.
• Assist with the preparation of audit schedules
• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures
• Assist with ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 1-2 years of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• CPA candidate preferred
