Summary:
To aid in the supervision of a group of technicians with the planning of overall activities, supervision, and coordination of work with other departments to meet schedules and work efficiently. The Atlanta Shop Supervisor will assist employees to ensure they are properly trained for their assignments and training records are updated. They are responsible for all EH&S/CORE/Quality/ITC activities and will perform a variety of technical duties and administrative duties in support of the Operations Manager while serving as the liaison with P&WC and Customers.
What You Will Do:
Provide supervision of a group of technicians assigned to the ATL Service Center.
Establish daily٫ weekly and monthly objectives and communicate them to employees.
Manage the workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules.
Guide and coach employees٫ monitoring their productivity.
Oversee safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance.
Identify efficiency issues and suggest improvements.
Ensure strict adherence to safety guidelines and company standards.
Responsible for all EH&S/CORE/Quality/ITC activities within the area.
Assist employees to ensure they are properly trained for their assignments and training records are updated.
Assist HR in the administration of the FAA Anti-Drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program.
Assist with the planning of overall activities and coordination of work with other departments to meet RSCN goals.
Assist with administrative duties to support Ops Manager.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience with knowledge of operational practices or an Associate's Degree with minimum of 8 years of experience
FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status).
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working with or leading cross functional teams.
Must be self-motivated, and high-energy with the initiative to direct and lead.
Strong communication skills and a proven ability to communicate with all levels of management.
Strong problem solving skills and a proven ability to develop creative solutions to both simple and difficult problems
Previous technical experience with P&WC products.
Proficient in SAP, MS Office, CORE tools.
Previous experience in aviation aftermarket support.
