Minimum Biweekly Rate of Pay: $2,699.18 Bi-Weekly. (In accordance with current spending restrictions, an internal promotion into the position will be filled at the minimum of the Tier or up to 5% of the employee’s current rate, whichever is higher).
DESCRIPTION:
Directs and coordinates the overall administrative and professional management of a secure detention facility. The facility must operate seven days a week with twenty-four (24) hours awake supervision, a full services kitchen operation, responsible for offender transportation, custodial/maintenance, purchasing inventory, the Home Detention component, and on-going training for staff.
Responsible for the day to day operations, establishes operating policy and professional standards of the facility in coordination with established federal, state, departmental, regional and district policies and meeting all operational objectives. This includes maintaining records, preparation of meaningful reports and correspondence concerning all aspects of operation and ensuring full compliance with Quality Improvement standards.
Maintains, at minimum, an Acceptable Overall Quality Improvement Rating with a minimum of 75% performance rating and 90% compliance rating and develops action plans to increase annual ratings. Investigate and make proper reports to necessary authorities involving offender’s complaints of child abuse. Reviews staff disciplinary actions, grievances and other personnel related matters.
Establishes operating policy and professional standards of facility by coordinating with established guidelines by state and regional policies, meeting all operational objectives. Establishes goals and objectives for the facility and develops strategies to accomplish these goals. Assures that good leadership/management practices are maintained within the facility.
