About the role
Are you passionate about the Media, Entertainment, Games, and Sports (MEGS) industries? Do you have a track record of designing technology platforms that create exceptional customer experiences? If so, we invite you to join the Amazon Web Services (AWS) MEGS Industry Specialist Solutions Architecture Team, where you’ll help our customers and partners innovate and succeed in the cloud.
We are seeking a Solutions Architect with extensive expertise in AWS, with preferable direct experience of Media & Entertainment (including Content Production, Media Supply Chain & Archive, Broadcast Modernisation, Direct-to-Consumer Streaming, and Monetisation), GameTech (game backend frameworks, game servers, and networking).
Working backwards from our customer business needs, you’ll offer strategic advice to help unlock business value through technology. This role involves close collaboration with business development, account management, professional services, support, product teams, and the AWS partner ecosystem. You’ll have the opportunity to apply your creativity, connecting innovative technologies to practical solutions while showcasing the possibilities AWS can deliver in a dynamic and ever-changing market.
The ideal candidate will be based in one of the Seattle, Los Angeles or New York offices, possess solid experience in the MEGS industry, and demonstrate a proven ability to work effectively with C-level executives. They should also excel in influencing decisions and showcasing strong thought leadership skills.

- Collaborate with the broader Account and AWS team to shape the strategic plan and drive cloud adoption.
- Design and deliver innovative technical solutions to engage and inspire customers and partners.
- Build technical credibility and trust during sales cycles, engaging directly with CTOs, CIOs, Chief Architects, and Senior Developers.
- Work with AWS service teams and partners to deploy, pilot, and scale MEGS focused solutions.
- Lead customer briefings, represent AWS MEGS at industry events, and advance thought leadership in technology solutions.
- Educate customers on the benefits of AWS, engaging in in-depth architectural discussions to ensure their solutions are optimized for successful cloud deployment.
- Deliver training sessions, both one-to-one and group formats, to share knowledge with customers exploring or already using AWS.
- Capture and share best practices within the AWS Solutions Architect community to foster continuous learning and improvement.
- 10+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 3+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- Knowledge of SAP systems (like SAP Business Suite, S/4HANA, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects, etc.) and their architecture and infrastructure needs
- Experience working with end user or developer communities

Basic Qualifications
