Job Description

As a Armed Security Guard - Government Site - Weekdays in Punta Gorda, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Patrol Armed Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to carry a firearm and operate a vehicle as part of your daily duties. You will interact with the public and staff, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and report any security-related concerns to the appropriate authorities.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
• Follow all site-specific protocols for access control, visitor management, and emergency response.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed during incidents or emergencies.
• Remain alert and prepared to respond to any security-related situation that may arise during the shift.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or possess an equivalent qualification.
• Must have at least one year of experience in an armed security-related, law enforcement, or military role.
• Must possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local regulations.
• Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements. 
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
