About the role

Description

Position Overview: 

Reporting to the Sr. Sourcing Manager, the Maintenance Planner Coordinator will work closely with Production, Planning, Maintenance, MRO, and various management personnel in support of all activities related to maintenance planning, Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) administration and data management. The Maintenance Planning Coordinator actions will support the following maintenance groups: AFM, PSM, CAE, ISM, BIM, GLM.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Management of labor resources, materials, and opportunities to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Works closely with production and planning department to align maintenance opportunities and establish priorities on a short and long-term basis.
  • Directly supports maintenance and operational groups’ weekly planning efforts.
  • Generates long term maintenance plans to ensure all personnel and materials resources are available at the time of execution.
  • Plans and coordinates outside vendor services and works with the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure all work was performed to specification for verification of invoicing.
  • Maintenance database administration
  • Manage all aspects of local CMMS including:
  • Ensuring all existing system information is always up to date.
  • Equipment listing
  • Personnel listing
  • Equipment maintenance task status
  • Equipment meter data
  • Predictive maintenance data
  • Weekly and ad-hoc work order generation and distribution
  • Works with Maintenance Supervisors to review completed work orders and coordinate required actions based on work order results and feedback.
  • Generate additional follow-up repair orders as required.
  • Adjust materials requirements for tasks.
  • Adjust job plan details.
  • Adjust work time estimates.
  • Adjust maintenance intervals.
  • Provide maintenance system reporting to all users as required.
  • Employee labor reporting
  • Openwork order status by department, machine area, etc.
  • Work order projections
  • Parts inventory reporting
  • Maintenance systems tuning and evolution.
  • Works closely with Maintenance Supervisors to constantly evaluate existing maintenance routines and create new or modify job plans and/or tasks as required.
  • Ensures all current equipment is included in the maintenance system.
  • Performs necessary research and establishes maintenance systems for all new equipment entering the factory.
  • Maintenance equipment documentation library
  • Works closely with Maintenance Supervisors and Maintenance Manager in establishing and maintaining all maintenance department S.O. P’s.
  • Works with Maintenance Supervisors in “root cause analysis” of failed components and adjusts maintenance systems, as necessary.
  • Manages “Mode of Failure analysis” database and reports on results as a measure of maintenance systems effectiveness and required actions.
  • Works with purchasing department to reduce material and outside labor costs for planned maintenance activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education and/or Experience:  

  • Highschool Diploma/GED required – College Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience as a maintenance planner or related field, in a manufacturing environment (food experience preferred)
  • Must be results oriented, with the necessary imagination to accomplish the extraordinary
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, manage multiple priorities, exercise sound judgement, be well organized, take initiative, be flexible, work well under pressure and produce accurate and timely work.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Suites to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Experience using Computer Maintenance Management Systems.

Performance Measurements: 

  • 100% on time completion of all critical work orders
  • 90% "noncritical" work order on time completion
  • 99.5% first-time availability of assets per schedule.
  • 100% inclusion of all assets in the maintenance system

Physical Activity:

  • Regularly reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequently climb, squat, bend, kneel, sit, stand, walk, and move about.
  • Occasionally lift/carry/push/pull 25 lbs.

Equipment Operated: 

  • Telephone and Voicemail
  • Personal computer, copy machine, fax machine.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Outlook, Internet & e-mail
