Objective of Position:
Provide general administrative/clerical support for warehouse manager including all facets of shipping, receiving, distribution and human resource management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Verification and input of daily receiving documentation
· Load planning, assignment and human resource allocation
· Inventory maintenance including cycle counting, production verification, monitoring/disposal of damaged/obsolete goods and accompanying adjustments
· Ship confirmation of daily orders
· Freight bill verification and entry
· Monitoring of carrier resource allocation and correspondence with freight vendors
· Assist in monitoring, evaluating and enforcement of organizational personnel rules/regulations
· Maintenance of ongoing intradepartmental communication to facilitate organizational SOP
· Respond to requests for UPS/FedEx rate quotes, facilitation of shipping, and maintenance of carrier database
· Assist with oversight and maintenance of equipment and facilities including initiating contact for outside vendor involvement
· Periodic housekeeping/deep cleaning tasks
· Enforcement and involvement of 3rd party standards essential to maintaining facilities accreditation
· Recommend tools, fixtures, equipment or layout changes to improve
· work flow, productivity, quality
· Recommend improved methods, records, etc. to enhance quality/efficiency
· Perform other duties as required by the nature of the position or as requested by supervisor
QualificationsQualifications:

Basic: General familiarity; awareness of universal principles and able to locate details/access resources. Individual has an understanding of a determinate number of functions or activities.
Solid: Working knowledge; able to apply general principles. Individual has an understanding of most functions, operations or activities, including a general knowledge of applicable theory.
Expert: Able to apply general principles and specific details. Individual has an understanding of virtually all functions, operations or activities, including full comprehension of applicable theory.
Education: Solid – Individual has obtained an Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or an equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Solid – Individual has the ability to read and distill information from a variety of sources dealing with finished goods and raw material. Individual will generally discern intermediate level technical information from shipping documentation and material data sheets. Individual should be able to clearly interpret simple reports and articulate viewpoint.
Mathematical Skills: Solid-Individual has the ability to add/subtract/multiply/divide 5-6 digit numbers including decimal places. Individual can perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability: Solid – Individual has the ability to apply advanced thinking that discerns cause/effect relationships and deals with analysis involving multiple, changeable variables.
General Work Environment :
· Loader will spend 1-2 hours working near moving mechanical parts.
· Loader will spend 1-4 hours working near fumes or airborne particles.
· Loader will spend 1-4 hours working in outdoor weather conditions.
· Loader will be working in a moderately noisy environment.
Additional Information :
· Loader will perform any other jobs as long as the employee is not put in an unsafe position (i.e. working a position for which the employee is not qualified).
