dss+, a global management consulting company, specialized in Risk Management, Operations Excellence and ESG, is looking for a senior data science leader to help productize and monetize data offering and data services to clients. Data science team is integral part of global Digital practice, which serves clients across geographies in multiple industries/sectors. As the Data Science Leader you will actively establish yourself as a trusted consultant to our clients and internal stakeholders with your expertise on data strategy, data modelling and finding insights from data. You will lead a team of Data Scientists and Data Analysts to bring technical thought leadership and innovation to how data is managed and used to create client value.

You will work on creating a variety of Data focused solutions and services, strategize &accelerate on IP. You will partner closely with various data vendors, technology partners and practice teams to help deliver state-of-the-art outcomes by data-driven solutions for our clients.

Role Responsibilities

• Team –
  • Lead and scale-up a team of data science and machine learning engineers to help solve for client's big data related challenges to help positioning of dss+ stronger in market.
• Focus –

Have experience in ‘data services &data monetization’. Build data-centric-offerings, platforms, solutions and capabilities to create differentiating value proposition for the Company.

• Ownership –
• Build custom data solutions and capabilities for clients focusing on leading edge technologies such as AI/ML, Data-Ops, collaborating with client’s technology teams and affiliates over client’s data.
• Manage Presales and solutioning and hold sales enablement responsibilities for data related services.
• Helps to develop models from structured and unstructured client data leveraging latest data science and data analytics techniques.
• Have proven track record of performing exploratory data analytics and measurement of performance.
• Work with all practices &Center-of-Excellence (design team) to develop data products, including predictive systems and analytical models.
• Conceive, plan and execute data projects; visualize data and create reports.
• Establish and nurture strategic relationships with affiliates, partners and vendors on the topic of data.
• Other expectation –
• Firm Building & Intellectual Capital Development - Contribute to research, white papers, blog, and other IC development activities.
• As a Subject Matter Expert would need to keep abreast of technology and market developments and identify growth opportunities for the firm

Requirements

• Experience –

• 15+ years of relevant experience in client facing data science / ML experience developing exploratory and hypothesis backed data models/products.
• Industry 4.0 and IoT/IIoT understanding is a must have
• Management consulting experience with thought leadership skill; especially in core industries including Mining & Metals, Oil & Gas, Utilities, Chemicals
• In depth experience in data science, advance data analytics, data platforms
• Proven experience of managing teams and diverse set of stakeholders; excellent communication skill
• Ability to create and steer through large data opportunities
• Willingness to travel across the globe per firm requirements
• · Qualification –
• Graduate / post-graduate in Computer Science
• MBA or business degree preferred

Data science related certifications / qualifications will be a plus.
