Product Development Technician

· Completes work in a timely manner.

· Prepares data for presentation; writes laboratory and development reports, issues work orders, evaluates/writes dimensional reports,

· Operates a wide variety of manufacturing and test equipment.

· Conducts Design of Experiments.

· Responsible for completing tasks assigned by the Product Development Engineer and the Prototype Lab Supervisor.

· Knowledge and practice of Hutchinson's Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, procedures and requirements.

· Other duties as assigned.

Must have good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with Engineering, R&D Validation, Product Development, and other plant and office personnel. Must have working knowledge of computer software used at Hutchinson, mechanical engineering, technical work, molding processes, and cure optimization. Must understand mechanical engineering, product development, and engineer testing in a manufacturing environment.

 

EDUCATION &/or EXPERIENCE:

Preferred Associates degree or work experience equivalent; and must have a positive work history.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Basic level math skills

 

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Basic level computer skills

 

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to be highly motivated and attentive. Being able to perform the task given in a timely manner. As well as having the ability to use information given and common sense to draw a valid conclusions. Able to communicate effectively in a team based setting.
