Sanofi, Swiftwater, PA site is the vaccines division of Sanofi. We believe in a world in which no one suffers or dies from a vaccine-preventable disease. The Swiftwater site is located in northeast Pennsylvania and is home to the production of over 140 million doses of vaccine each year.
The FFIP (Formulation, Filling, Inspection and Packaging) CI (Continuous Improvement) department drives the vaccines industrialization and the improvement of processes and products. It embarks new technologies and digital trends and is the keeper of Sanofi Manufacturing Systems (SMS 2.0) data and process knowledge. FFIP CI is at the crossroads of MSAT and production to support commercialization of new products and process as well as routine production support and troubleshooting.
A close collaboration with MSAT and Manufacturing to ensure that the processes for new vaccines are as innovative and standardized as possible to guarantee efficacy, cost-effectiveness, and rapid time to market of quality vaccines. It is a multi-disciplinary function that provides expertise in formulation and filling manufacturing process; continuous process monitoring, process equipment troubleshooting and meet the Health Authorities commitment. Commitment and solidarity are key in the FFIP CI department. The FFIP CI organization is the seeding ground for technical and scientific talents that execute their work in a large network and offer multiple possible career evolutions. You will be integrated into a team where you will acquire scientific and technical skills, alongside our experts, our project teams, and a management team committed to your development. Furthermore, CI is providing cross-functional training and development and is the portal for collaboration with many different organizations including MSAT, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Regulation and Quality.
The Data Engineer within the FFIP CI (Formulation, Filling, Inspection and Packaging Continuous Improvement) function of Manufacturing and Supply (M&S) Vaccines will turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions that will enable Manufacturing to optimize the production cycle. In addition to applying advanced data science and teamwork skills on a daily basis, this role also interacts with Sanofi Data Science network. The mission of the FFIP CI function is to support manufacturing in delivering robust and efficient processes and products. The FFIP CI function also provides daily support to manufacturing toward industrial performance excellence.

Main Responsibilities
Assist in solving process related problems by ensuring the collection, management, and analysis of quality data.
Conduct quality assurance of collected data and expand the core concepts of data governance within the organization.
Responsible for automating data pipelines and creating dashboards/reports that will help stakeholders make data-driven decisions.
Assist with activities such as Statistical Process Control, data mining, and process modeling.
Provide support for internally managed servers.
Participate in modeling initiatives through data acquisition and visualization of key results AND life cycle improvements of existing vaccines processes.
Support the global evolution of data science and support its implementation at the site.
Promote innovation at the site.
About You
Basic Qualifications
BS in Data Science, Computer Science, Operational Research or other related field with 2 – 5 years’ experience.
MS in Data Science, Computer Science, Operational Research or other related field with 0 – 2 years’ experience.
