Private Fund Services Associate

The Private Fund Service Associate - supports Distribution and Relationship Management to service Institutional and High Net Worth clients investing in Nuveen’s alternative private funds. Under supervision, the Associate will focus on satisfying incoming client inquiries and reporting obligations while utilizing independent thought and discretion to solution. This role collaborates closely with teams across the enterprise to deliver an outstanding client experience.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Maintain first-class client service, always seeking ways to improve the client experience.

• Partner with investment teams, building relationships and knowledge of the funds and mandates to support our investors proactively.

• Frequent written and oral interaction with internal and external organizations, including institutional investors.

• Manage client relationships: Respond to client queries and requests promptly and effectively; work with clients on inquiries and ensuring client expectations are met.

• Collaborate with Accounting and 3rd party Fund Administrators to assist with investor activity such as coordination of client statements, notices, etc..

• Coordinate with internal business partners to satisfy custom client reports.

• Ensure regulatory and fund document deadlines are met while adhering to all procedures and quality control.

• Responsible for escalating and communicating any issues affecting the client experience.

• Participation in relevant projects across the department, particularly those which look to mitigate risk, improve operational efficiency, and deliver exceptional client service.

• 3+ years financial services experience
• Bachelor’s degree
• Asset management experience
• Client servicing experience
• Alternative investment and/or private fund experience
• Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills and ability to understand bespoke systems and applications
• Strong relationship management skills
• Proven success with and passion for providing exceptional customer service
• Ability to work independently and perform well under pressure

Base Pay Range: $61,500/yr. - $89,000/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.  In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
