Shift & Schedule: Full-Time, 4:30pm-2:30am
Pay: $19.00-20.00/HR

Join our team at a hospital in Rifle, Colorado, providing essential security services in a dynamic healthcare environment. As an Unarmed Security Officer, you’ll ensure the safety of staff, patients, and visitors through patrols, monitoring, and incident response. This full-time position offers opportunities across all days and shifts, providing flexibility to fit your schedule. Candidates must have current Taser certification, and additional certifications such as CPR are highly valued. Training is provided to support your success in the role. Job Functions

  • Security Presence & Defense: Serve as the first line of defense for clients and sites
  • Hazard Awareness: Identify and address safety concerns
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct ongoing risk evaluations
  • Access Control: Manage access to restricted areas and information
  • Guidance: Direct and assist patrons, patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Customer Service: Deliver positive interactions with a pleasant and helpful demeanor
  • Collaboration: Work with local law enforcement and other security personnel to maintain the highest safety standards
  • Incident Response: Respond to client security concerns and reports of incidents as they come through the dispatch line
  • Incident Documentation: Record and report all security and safety incidents and concerns

Requirements

  • Employment Eligibility: Provide 2 forms of ID and eligibility/authorization to work in the US
  • Education: High School diploma or GED
  • Attitude: Maintain a calm, professional, and customer service-oriented demeanor
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English speaking, reading/writing. Spanish is a bonus
  • Screening: Ability to pass a urinalysis (site dependent), criminal background check
  • Certification: Must have or be able to obtain current Taser certification
  • Transportation: Reliable transportation to and from work (in inclement mountain weather)
  • Tech Literacy: Basic technology skills and ownership of a working smartphone and accessible email account
  • Physical Ability: Can stand, sit, walk, jog, crouch, bend over, and carry 50lbs in a variety of weather conditions and work environments

Essential Job Functions

  • Responsible for safety, protection, and general security of Facility, Staff, Patients and Guests.
  • Engage with the client on a work performance level and provide excellent customer service and a positive attitude at all times.
  • Create and maintain an accurate and detailed Daily Activity Log.
  • Maintain compliance of HIPAA regulations.
  • Ability to perform job tasks in an extremely professional manner, while providing exceptional customer service in both fast and slow-paced environments.
  • Must be able to respond appropriately during emergency situations with a clear and focused mindset.
  • Know and understand the site layouts and be knowledgeable about general information.
  • Learn the site-specific rules and regulations established for the facility.
  • Be mentally engaged during shift through observation and reporting all problems or potential hazards to the Operations Supervisor and/or Contract Manager.
  • Ability to endure long periods of time working solo, patrolling facility, while maintaining mental focus.
  • Understand and execute the security objectives outlined for the contract with detailed precision.
  • Maintain legible and detailed documentation of work site observations, including professional incident reports.
  • Coordinate with Contract Manager, Security Supervisor, or facility staff to coordinate any emergency situations.
  • Comply with the Company's/Client's dress code for Healthcare Security Officers, arrive prior to the start of your shift ready to work.
  • Job site is located in an area with changing weather; Officers must be able to sustain long a duration of driving and working in extreme weather.
  • Properly use and maintain all equipment, including vehicles, radios, computer equipment, flashlights, uniforms, etc.
