Master Club Fitter and Builder

Reports to: Head of Coaching, Director of Golf

FLSA Status: Hourly/ Non-Exempt

Essential Job Functions

The Master Club Builder & Fitter is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the club fitting and building process. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, exceptional customer service, and a deep understanding of golf equipment technology. The ideal candidate will be a certified expert who can provide a premier, data-driven fitting experience and then execute flawless, precise club builds.

Key Responsibilities:

· Custom Club Fitting: Conduct professional club fitting sessions for members and guests, using advanced launch monitor technology (e.g., TrackMan, Foresight). Analyze swing data, recommend appropriate equipment specifications, and provide a personalized, unbiased fitting experience.

· Club Building & Repair: Execute all custom club builds and repairs with meticulous attention to detail and precision. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workshop. Ensure all work meets the highest industry standards for quality and accuracy.

· Inventory & Vendor Management: Manage all inventory related to club fitting components and building supplies. Maintain strong relationships with all major golf equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and stay up-to-date on new products and technologies.

· Service & Sales: Act as the primary point of contact for all club fitting and building inquiries. Promote and sell equipment, ensuring a seamless process from fitting to delivery. Provide exceptional service that builds trust and fosters long-term member loyalty.

· Operational Excellence: Maintain and calibrate all fitting and building equipment. Develop and implement best practices to streamline the operation and ensure a premium service level.

· Collaboration: Work closely with the Director of Golf and Head of Coaching professionals to create a cohesive player development environment, aligning fitting recommendations with coaching goals. 

· Proactive: Must have an entrepreneurial spirit, with a self-starter attitude who is able to actively plan and execute fitting events and make decisions to enhance and benefit the member and guest experience.

Requirements

  

Qualifications & Skills

· Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a high-end club fitting and building role.

· Certification: Relevant certifications from major equipment manufacturers (e.g., Titleist, PING, Callaway, TaylorMade) are highly preferred.

· Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of club components, shaft dynamics, launch monitor data, and fitting software. Proven ability to build clubs to exact specifications (e.g., swing weight, loft, lie angle).

· Customer Service: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Must be professional, patient, and able to build rapport with a diverse clientele.

· Attention to Detail: Meticulous and detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.

· Professionalism: Maintain a high standard of appearance and conduct in line with Lake Nona's reputation.

· Must be able to work in hot conditions for long periods of time.
