Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Assembly

Responsibilities:
- Provide critical input in creating an enterprise strategy for development and implementation of assembly processes across Crown’s global manufacturing facilities.
- Commitment towards support of company goals and objectives through innovative approach, lean principals, and leverage of advancing technologies are required.
- Develop detailed business cases for automated assembly processes and present them to the leadership team.
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop additive manufactured tooling and digital work aids within the assembly process.
- Work with project teams to develop new assembly line layouts.
- Maintain a relationship with equipment suppliers and stay informed on new and innovative technology in the industry.
- Manage medium to large projects.
- Mentor, coach, teach, and develop assembly personnel.
- This position will report to an Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
Qualifications:
- 8-15 years related experience
- Associate degree
- Non-degree considered if 8+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED
- Must have valid driving privileges.
- Occasional travel (0-5%)
- Occasional overnight stays (0-5%)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of assembly processes and equipment and lean principals.
- CAD experience (AutoCAD, SketchUp, NX, ext.)
- Excellent leadership and coaching skills.
- Demonstrated analytical and decision-making skills.
- Outstanding communication skills to facilitate discussions at all levels of the company.
- Self-driven with the ability to support multiple projects at once.
- Must be willing and able to travel, including internationally.
- Bachelor of Engineering preferred.
