ManTech is looking for a highly motivated and qualified Technical Writer III in Ft. Meade, MD.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
The Technical Writer III provides writing and editing services to the project.
They contribute to producing and editing the innovation recommendation reports as they relate to performance improvements in systems, operations, and processes.
They rewrite content or perform developmental editing to ensure it passes our information quality checks before review, signature, coordination, and publication by NSIN and their mission partners.
They assist engineers and analysts by advising content outline and structuring.
They review new performance improvement content for editing accuracy and formatting and support other acquisitions at the project level.
They also collaborate with SMEs to design, write, revise, and/or edit technical documentation, including interim whitepapers, plans, outlines, speeches, or presentations.
They assist with management of updates, version control, and revisions to technical literature repository.
The Technical Writer III is a senior experienced in producing and updating documentation related to systems engineering.
The Technical Writer III reports to the TDL Generation Manager and supervises and mentors subordinate project and ICON Innovation Collaborative (IIC) staff.
Basic qualifications:
5 years of position specific relevant experience.
Experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
Preferred qualifications:
Certified Technical Writer (CTW), Adobe Certified Expert–FrameMaker certifications. Bachelor's degree in STEM or related discipline.
Master’s degree in Writing, Communication, or STEM.
Security clearance requirement:
Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain and/or maintain a polygraph.
Physical requirements:
Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
