EIT Project Manager II

The EIT Project Management Office (PMO) is seeking an experienced Project Manager for its Infrastructure & Operations (I&O), Information Security (ISS), and potentially Information Delivery (ID) Portfolio. In this role, you will manage complex projects end-to-end, collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure project quality and value delivery, address project status inquiries, and resolve issues.

Given the nature of projects managed by this team, the successful candidate must have experience managing complex projects in this space. Our PMO, comprising of over 30 dedicated professionals, actively fosters a positive and supportive atmosphere. We are committed to professional growth through role-based learning initiatives and a PMO-sponsored mentoring program.

Note: This role requires occasional travel to BCBST headquarters in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Job Responsibilities

• Manages enterprise projects with little assistance.
• Updates and maintains current project information within the established project management tool. 
• Manages scope and the execution of change management processes.
• Ensures the procurement of hardware, software and human resources as needed for the project.
• Manages project costs, and works with project owners, stakeholders, and delivery team to manage project quality.
• Tracks and reports risks and issues.
  • Proactively evaluates project activities.
  • Builds contingency plans.
  • Executes corrective actions when necessary.
  • Implements risk response plans to manage risk.

 

Job Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required. Equivalent experience is defined as 4 years of professional work experience.

 

Experience

• 4 years experience in business or information technology project delivery. 

 

Skills/Certifications

• Experienced in Agile, Scaled Agile, and Waterfall methodologies. 
• Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams to achieve project goals.
• Must be a team player, be organized, and handle multiple projects.
• Has a successful track record completing projects on time and on budget.
• Must be comfortable with professionally challenging key stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) and Information Security (ISS)
