Description

The Master Data Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and consistency of the product item master data by leading, coordinating and executing the creation, update, and maintenance of product item master data. This includes  item master data additions and corrections of existing item master data. Collaborates and supports Engineering and Development, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance and Change Management with new and revised product data and data processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and review product item master data via effective communication with Engineering and Marketing departments as new and re-sourced products flow through.
  • Approve new item master requests.
  • Process item master changes such as item status change, safety stock changes, etc.
  • Process master data requests in compliance with master data standards while adhering to all applicable standard operating procedures. This includes the verification and maintenance of master data records in the ERP system. 
  • Collaborate with data stewards and requestors from the multiple functional departments/offices to ensure proper ownership and process.
  • Ensure item record accuracy in all required systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all quality regulations and standards.
  • Create and maintain product item master data procedures and work instructions documentation 
  • Provide training to other team members/End Users on proper data management practices and Master Data intake and maintenance process
  • Support Supply Chain, Marketing, and Engineering departments with processing and updating item and product master data and other item information changes or implementations. 
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives, collaborating on projects that involve multiple functional areas.
  • Coordinate and/or participate in cross-functional meetings to discuss any data-related needs, challenges, or updates.
  • Generate reports, queries and analyses from item master data to support maintenance activities, business operations, projects, and decision-making.
  • Monitor data quality metrics and implement corrective actions when necessary
  • Support system upgrades, migrations, and integrations to ensure smooth data transfer and consistency
  • Maintains and supports relationships with all business partners related to product Master Data 

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

Education:
  • An Associate degree and two years of equivalent on the job training/experience is required. Higher education may offset experience.
 Experience:
  • Previous experience working in a medical device FDA regulated industry.
  • Experience with QAD ERP system, Siemens Teamcenter, and Siemens CamStar is a plus.
  • Ability to build stable working relationships internally.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills
Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Excel.
  • Problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify data inconsistencies
