MSCI is hiring an Operating Officer to support our Private Assets business. Your Key Responsibilities

The Private Assets Product Line team is focused on delivering innovative, client-centric solutions while maintaining operational excellence and reliability. As part of this team, you will contribute to:

• Strategic Alignment: Ensuring the product offerings are aligned with broader organizational goals through clarity, transparency, and collaboration.
• Client-Centric Innovation: Developing solutions and products that anticipate and exceed client needs, driving market differentiation.
• Operational Efficiency: Streamlining processes and optimizing resources to improve profitability and scalability.
• Risk Management and Quality: Maintaining the highest standards of product quality while proactively managing risks to ensure reliability and consistency.

In this role, you will take the lead on several critical areas, including:

 

Strategic Leadership

• Act as a trusted advisor to the Head of Private Assets, enhancing their efficiency and impact across the organization.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration to foster alignment and cohesion throughout the product line and associated functions.
• Partner with leadership to design and execute ambitious strategies that fuel growth and innovation.

Client-Centric Product Innovation

• Lead the acceleration of innovative, client-focused products and solutions by working closely with the leadership team and other stakeholders.
• Ensure strategies and initiatives are actionable, executable, and aligned with market demands and client expectations.

Operational Excellence

• Oversee and improve day-to-day operations to enhance the effectiveness, efficiency, and reliability of the product line.
• Translate high-level strategies into clear, actionable plans, ensuring seamless execution across teams.
• Implement decision-making frameworks that optimize speed, clarity, and quality.

Efficiency and Resource Optimization

• Identify and address inefficiencies to maximize resource utilization and profitability.
• Streamline operational processes and workflows to improve overall performance.

• Monitor and maintain product quality to meet or exceed client expectations.

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

 

Education and Industry Knowledge

• A degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related technical field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., MBA, CFA) are a plus.
• 10+ years of experience in product management or operational leadership, preferably within the financial services industry.
• Knowledge and understanding of Private Assets or similar asset classes is highly desirable.
