About the role

Position Description

Serco is seeking a Project Administrator who will work with a multidisciplinary team supporting engineers who are deployed at DoD facilities worldwide. Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact on a critical mission supporting US Army Installation Management Command (IMCOM).           

Serco supports the US IMCOM Army Child & Youth Services (CYS) Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) to include the equipment within the server rack. Our team installs, upgrades, maintains and provides customer support to the Functional Technology Specialists (FTS), building directors, and staff on site to allow them to perform their mission successfully.        

We are looking for an individual who can directly support and foster a positive relationship with the team and customer. You will work directly for the Project Lead providing support to ensure the project stays on tasks and meets contract objectives. You will work directly with the engineers, customer support desk, customer and project lead to develop documentation and procedures. Prefer individuals to live in Colorado Springs however, willing to consider remote work from anywhere in the US.  

This position is contingent upon the award of the contract

Dependent on selected candidate; may consider full time teleworking

In this role, you will:

  • Manage the deployment schedule and ensure project deliverables are completed on time.
  • Breaking projects into doable tasks and setting timelines.
  • Create and update workflows.
  • Prepare and provide documentation.
  • Order resources and materials using companies purchasing order process.
  • Track and retrieve large amounts of data for the customer and leadership.
  • Monitor project progress and address potential issues.
  • Measure and report on project performance.
  • Scheduling meetings with the customer and recording decisions (e.g. assigned tasks and next steps)
  • Work alone with little to no guidance.
  • Coordinate and communicate with multi audiences.
  • Conduct administrative duties such as timekeeping and expense reporting, according to policies and procedures in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate travel needs for team members and ensure travel needs are met while staying within the budget and company policy.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong organizational skills including the ability to plan and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proven attentiveness to detail with problem analysis and issue resolution skills.
  • Customer focused and deadline driven.
  • Capable of providing results on assigned tasks.
  • Accountability with focus on attention to detail.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Be able to receive a favorable determination from the National Agency Check (NACI)
  • Must be able to obtain access to military installations and obtain a CAC (Common Access Card)
  • US Citizenship required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
    • Or a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 9 years of experience in the following in lieu of degree
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in each of the following;
    • Experience as a Project Administrator, Project Coordinator or similar role
    • Hands-on experience with flowcharts (e.g. Visio), excel, project, technical documentation, data input and scheduling
    • Proficiency using MS Office, using MS Office, including but not limited to Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
    • Proficient in creating detailed documentation and summary notes
    • Experience with expense (Concur) and timekeeping (Delek) platforms
  • The ability to research and extract relevant data
  • Ability to work independently and foster positive relationships
  • Ability to work unique schedules based on assigned projects including some work outside core hours and being willing to work more than 40 hours/week
  • Be able to lift objects up to 50 pounds without assistance

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Familiar overseas travel requirements
  • Military background
  • Knowledge of project management software
  • An Active DoD Secret Level Security Clearance
