Your Role & Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead Accreditation & Compliance Efforts: Drive the successful achievement and maintenance of accreditation standards across assigned facilities. Develop and implement strategies to prepare for and sustain compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
  • Manage & Oversee the Tracer Program: Lead the facility tracer program to assess real-time compliance, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure continuous readiness for surveys and inspections.
  • Coordinate Accreditation Activities: Facilitate comprehensive survey preparation, including staff education, documentation review, and mock surveys. Act as the primary onsite survey manager during accreditation visits.
  • Oversight of IDOH & JC Visits: Assist in planning, preparing for, and managing both announced and unannounced inspections from the Indiana Department of Health (IDOH) and The Joint Commission (JC). Ensure all required documentation and processes are in place, and serve as a liaison during these visits.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Requires 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • CPHQ or other comparable healthcare regulatory certification endorsed by IU Health System Regulatory Affairs required within two years of employment.
  • Interfacility travel for surveying and in-state overnight stays is required.
  • Requires current state of Indiana license as a health care professional (e.g., Registered Nurse with an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license, Respiratory Therapist, Pharmacy or Rehabilitation license).
