Finance Intern

The Sherwin-Williams Finance internship is designed to provide you with hands-on experience in the General Industrial Division. The internship features a singular Finance experience, where you’ll gain valuable experience supporting the FP&A activities of a large division.
This internship program is scheduled to begin Summer 2025 and designed to be ~12 weeks in duration.
- This role’s schedule is typically 32 hours per week during the summer (M-Th).
- Assist with new business support and tracking: compare and leverage existing practices to propose a consistent global methodology and kick off the standardization process with the help of the GI finance team.
- Complete daily sales reporting for the US team
- Support the US Sales team through standardizing sales rep cost centers and preparing monthly sales rep budget adjustments
- Update GI’s supply agreement tracker
- Review and catalog what customers are currently attached to raw material indices and the terms of those agreements. Work with the finance team to classify which ones need further review or modifications.
- Ad-hoc reporting and projects, as needed.
Because this role involves access to confidential financial information, the Company has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and to provide similar protections for its clients and potential investments.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.
- Must be enrolled in a college or university, pursuing a degree in Finance, or Accounting at the time of the internship
- Willingness to work all scheduled hours, including overtime as needed, with or without reasonable accommodation
Preferred Qualifications
- Be a rising or current Junior or Senior in college or university at the start of the internship program
- Have prior school or work experience in finance, accounting, or business
- Have at least one (1) year of experience using Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, and/or Outlook)
- Have previous experience working in a team-oriented setting including work experience, extracurricular activities, military service, etc.
- Previous experience in the Sherwin-Williams Corporate Finance Internship Program
