CLASS TITLE: Anti-Human Trafficking Project Coordinator

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF CLASS
To oversee and manage the Richland County Anti-Human Trafficking Project to train professionals across disciplines on recognizing and responding to human trafficking and ensure adequate and appropriate direct service response to human trafficking. This position will also provide crisis response, outreach, and case management for survivors of sex trafficking.
ESSENTIAL TASKS
The tasks listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional tasks related to the type of work of the class as necessary.
Assists in promoting community awareness on issues related to child abuse and neglect.
Receives and responds to inquiries, concerns, complaints and requests for assistance regarding areas of responsibility.
Compiles data for and prepares records and reports as required by the department, County, and/or other agencies.
Performs general administrative / clerical work as required, including attending meetings, preparing reports and correspondence, entering and retrieving computer data, reviewing mail and literature, copying and filing documents, sending and receiving faxes, answering the telephone, etc.
Attends training, conferences, seminars, meetings, etc., to increase job knowledge and skills.
Organize and facilitate the Richland County Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force;
Organize and facilitate human trafficking trainings for law enforcement, prosecutors, judges, and direct service providers;
Assist the Richland County Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force in creation and implementation of a community needs assessment regarding human trafficking;
Assist the Richland County Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force in creation and implementation of a strategic plan to enhance community response to human trafficking;
Represent STSM on community-based task forces related to human trafficking;
Develop outreach plan, which may include design of written materials for promotion of program, including brochures, posters, newspaper, and social media; design of PSAs for on air and coordination of advertisement with local providers; and implementation of presentations to community members and organizations;
Provide high quality crisis intervention and advocacy services to survivors of sex trafficking;
Coordinate services with referral agencies, including training for staff, review and revision of internal policies to address victim safety and confidentiality, and entering into signed agreements; and
Other duties and reporting requirements as assigned or required by STSM and CASA.
All other duties as assigned.

INVOLVEMENT WITH THINGS:
Requires handling or using machines, tools or equipment requiring brief instruction or experience, such as computers for data entry, fax machines, copiers, telephones or similar equipment; may service office machines, including adding paper and changing toner.
COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS
REASONING REQUIREMENTS:
Requires performing supervisory work involving policy and guidelines, solving both people- and work-related problems.
MATHEMATICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requires using addition and subtraction, multiplication and division, and/or calculating ratios, rates and percentages.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:
Requires reading journals, manuals and professional publications; speaking informally to groups of co-workers, staff in other organizational agencies, the general public, people in other organizations; presenting training; composing original reports, training and other written materials using proper language, punctuation, grammar and style.
