Overview

To provide leadership and supervision of district services in strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree (earned doctorate from an accredited institution desirable).

Five (5) years of experience in continuous improvement initiatives or strategic planning.

Three (3) years of educational leadership administration, management, and/or supervisory experience (work with strategic planning, facilitating large group processes, and/or large-scale data visualization desirable).

Experience in managing large and complex projects through a variety of organizational and project management tools and systems (e.g., RACI matrices, DARE framework, Smartsheet, SharePoint Lists, Microsoft Planner).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Demonstrated ability to apply iterative design processes within a context that requires highly accurate products. Demonstrated experience and ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., school improvement plans, school advisory councils). Demonstrated experience in the use of computer applications and data visualization software (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio). Demonstrated skill and experience in writing and presenting data and research insights in a variety of formats (e.g., reports, briefs, dashboards) to administrators, teachers, support staff, parents, and members of the community. Demonstrated analytical skills, including leveraging quantitative and qualitative data to answer strategic questions. Demonstrated leadership skills to guide and support school and district leaders in data-driven decision-making. Demonstrated ability to independently plan, execute, and monitor the completion of tasks and projects according to established timelines. Demonstrated ability to work, communicate, and collaborate effectively with internal and external parties. Demonstrated ability in planning, developing, implementing, and monitoring processes related to all areas of responsibility in compliance with local, state, and federal requirements. Demonstrated ability to thrive in complex and uncertain environments, including adapting to changing priorities and work assignments. Demonstrated ability to facilitate group processes and engage in conflict resolution, planning, and decision-making between school and district leadership to build consensus and develop goals. Demonstrated success in the management of large and complex projects and working with others in a collaborative manner to establish goals and objectives, develop action plans, conduct data analysis, meet critical deadlines, and share results.REPORTS TO: Senior Director - Research, Measurement and StrategySUPERVISES: Senior AdministratorsMACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT:Machines, tools, equipment, electronic devices, vehicles, etc., used in this position. Telephone, Computer, (Personal Computer and Mainframe), Automobile, Copier.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Describes physical conditions of this position.Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently.
