Starting Salary:  $68,365.44

 

 

Performs daily work orders for the Retail Maintenance Group in a variety of disciplines such as Fuel Equipment maintenance, UST Compliance program, Retail Equipment Maintenance and Car Wash Maintenance.  Directly supervises a number of Skill Labor employees and coordinates all maintenance activities for the Savon and Maple Leaf locations.

What you will do as a Retail Maintenance Supervisor:

  • Perform daily work orders and projects as directed by the Director in such disciplines as UST maintenance, Fuel equipment maintenance, Point of Sale maintenance, Car Wash maintenance, Retail Store equipment maintenance, and Retail building maintenance. Coordinates scheduled work orders with Facilities Director and schedules projects to ensure completion by deadline.
  • Provide daily supervision to skilled labor; including Fuel Maintenance Technicians, Retail Maintenance Technician, Assistant Maintenance Technician, and Car Wash Technician. Delegates assignments to staff assigned to assist on specific projects and work disciplines.
  • Adhere to Nation Policy of adopted International Building codes for acceptable safety practices.
  • Adhere to O.S.H.A. requirements pertinent to acceptable safety practices. Ensures staff is fully compliant at all times with safety requirements.
  • Maintain accurate equipment inventory and log-in/log-out chart; inspects and records condition of equipment and tools when returned.
  • Maintain all power and hand tools in good working condition and reports any defects that require replacement or repair to the Director.
  • Perform minor repairs on equipment as necessary.
  • Maintain clean housekeeping practices of assigned workspace and vehicles.
  • Perform and coordinates UST compliance program and testing of equipment.
  • Perform forecourt maintenance as needed.
  • Develop a preventative maintenance plan for each trade and tracks progress weekly.
  • Lay out work using various carpentry tools; follows blueprints, sketches and verbal instructions.
  • Schedule employees to appropriately utilize individual skill sets.
  • Work with staff to provide continuing improvement including safety training and core discipline training for each individual.
  • Coordinate training and certification schedules for team to ensure there are no lapses
  • Provide Director with weekly status reports on all ongoing and upcoming projects, including all critical paths for success and potential issues.
  • Perform in depth Monthly inspections of each site and develops work schedule to ensure Nation standards met.
  • Coordinate on call schedule to provide 24/7 technical assistance to the locations and ensure continued operations.
  • Assist with emergency snow removal as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Having a Rewarding Career As A Retail Maintenance Supervisor Means:

  • You a High School Diploma or Equivalency.
  • a minimum of 10 years of experience in related Maintenance Support position.  Minimum 5 years of work related supervisory experience in fuel maintenance and general commercial building maintenance.
  • Knowledge of IBC Building Codes and Fuel Safety programs required.
  • Current certifications for Pressure line testing, UST leak testing, Sump tightness testing required.
  • A Gilbarco Certified Technician Credentials for Point of Sale and Fuel Dispensers.
  • Knowledge of Construction safety requirements and completion of 20 hour safety class or equivalent required.
  • Able to work independently and with little direct supervision.
  • Able to respond to emergency calls within a reasonable period of time.
  • possess a valid driver’s licens
