About the role

Description

Production Catcher

The Production Catcher role is responsible for catching and inspecting products as they come

off the production line to ensure they meet the company’s quality standards by maintaining

product consistency, detecting defects, and supporting the overall production efficiency. The

Production Catcher collaborates with other team members to ensure a smooth and safe

production flow.


Key Responsibilities

  • Visually inspect and catch products as they come off the production line, identifying any defects or quality issues.
  • Ensure all products meet specific quality standards and reject defective items before they advance further in the production process.
  • Record and report the number of defects or rejected items, noting any recurring issues that may require additional attention or adjustments.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company guidelines to maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
  • Communicate with supervisors and quality control staff about recurring defects or machine malfunctions.
  • Assist in identifying causes of defects and suggest potential improvements to prevent recurrence.
  • Assist in loading, sorting, and preparing orders for deliveries when needed.
  • Prepare products for packaging, labeling, and sorting based on quality checks and production needs.
  • Complete and submit Quality Control (QC) and order paperwork to the front desk promptly and accurately.
  • Meet daily productivity and efficiency goals.
  • Other duties as assigned



Requirements

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diplomas or GED

Experience- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production role is preferred


Physical Demands:

  • Be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive tasks

Knowledge:

  • Basic Computer and math skills required.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Skills:

Attention to Detail- Ability to detect defects and inconsistencies with accuracy and speed.

Teamwork- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with other

production and quality control team members.

Problem Solving Skills- Proactive in identifying and resolving issues to maintain product quality and production efficiency.


Working Conditions

Environment: Work primarily takes place in a production or warehouse setting with moderate noise levels, machinery, and occasional exposure to production materials.
