Senior Beverage Manager - Casino Services - The Cosmopolitan

JOIN THE SHOW: The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is seeking a dynamic Senior Beverage Manager to lead the beverage team.

Your role will entail maximizing revenue streams through comprehensive staff training and in-depth product development knowledge. It is crucial to maintain consistent and high-quality service standards while providing leadership within the department to support the Beverage Director.
 

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to coordinate and oversee the hotel's beverage operation in and around the casino floor, while ensuring profitability and maintaining superior product and service levels. 

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Guest Service Management: Oversee management, delivery, and measurement of guest service to uphold company standards and brand attributes.

• Innovation and Development: Provide input into research, development, evaluation, and implementation of new products, services, and processes to maintain competitive positioning and anticipate customer needs.

• Cost Control and Reporting: Implement cost controls, prepare forecast reports, manage budgets, Profit & Loss statements, and other necessary financial reports.

• Employee Engagement and Development: Maintain high employee motivation through feedback and participation in decision-making processes. Coach team members to enhance their skills and achieve work objectives.

• Security and Safety Management: Collaborate with Security to implement security plans and ensure a safe environment for patrons and employees.

• Leadership: Fostering a collaborative work environment, performance feedback, recognition, and employee satisfaction. Manage hiring, training, and succession planning processes with diversity commitment and adherence to company policies and legal requirements.

• Union Relations and Compliance: Maintain relationships with unions while adhering to company policies, legal requirements, and collective bargaining agreements.

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent educational experience
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or 4 years of equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience
• 6+ years of prior experience in Hospitality Management, Food and Beverage Management, General Manager, Assistant General Manager, or Mixologist

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT:

• Proven experience in beverage management or a similar role
• Strong leadership and team-building skills
• Knowledge of cost control, budget management, and financial reporting
• Strong knowledge and expertise in spirits, wine, and liquor selection, including trends, pairings, and industry developments
• Previous experience working in a similar resort setting
• Previous experience administering and working within guidelines of Union Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA)
